The fall semester at Johns Hopkins University ended with a successful surgical illustration critique! At this public forum, the faculty provided one last round of feedback and commentary. We (the five other students and myself) have been worked one-on-one with a faculty member for each surgical piece. We presented on just two surgeries that we observed. In my case, I presented on a Total Colectomy performed by Dr. Stewart, and a Cavernous Malformation Removal performed by Dr. Weingart. We showed prints of all our work at the reception afterwards.
